I'm your memory keeper.
That in itself is the most important thing I do and the reason why I do what I do.
Relationships, the stuff the makes the world go round and when asked what was most important to them, most people would tell you it's the people they love.
So, I treasure capturing these relationships for you. I feel the importance of trapping these precious moments for you, forever.
Sometimes at the end of the day, photos are all you have. Moments, people, emotions live on through them.
About me, well, I love my family and my menagerie of pets and I spend a lot of time cherishing them, which I show through my photos.
I'm a believer of "A picture is worth a thousand words"
Other things that make me happy...
My friends, Music, Being Outdoors, Travelling, Art, Snowfalls, Summertime, the ocean and Peanut Butter. Oh and wine! I do live in the Okanagan. What more can I say?!
Most of my family lives in Manitoba. I have a large extended family that I love going to spend time with at least once a year. It may seem strange to some, but I love winters there the best!
I love where I've ended up in life.
I love being a photographer.
I love my big family
I love my menagerie of furry friends;
Two mischievous Bengal sister cats Kiara & Asia,
Two sweet dogs, Penelope 1 is a rescue from Mexico, Buddy is 16,
My love Ebony - a 16 yr Black Beauty (Horse).
I love that I get to travel
I love that I still have time to read, draw, paint and play my piano and learn the violin.
A quote I love
"So long as the memory of certain beloved friends lives on in my heart, I shall say that life is good"
I was lucky enough to grow up on a farm on Vancouver Island. This created my love for nature, the ocean and furry friends. Most of my childhood was spent biking to the beach to spend hours there or with my animals who were sometimes my best friends.
I was the arty kid who loved to read, draw, take photos with my camera and studied classical piano for more hours than I could count. I was a music major in university, with the intent on being a teacher, but life had other plans for me and I'm happy it brought me back to the other love of photography as a career.
I have lived in the Okanagan in beautiful Kelowna for the last 18 years. I've grown to love it here too. I spend much of my winters up at the Big White Ski hill. I love winters and the snow and ski when I love the conditions!
I'm lucky as I can still spend time on Vancouver Island where 1/2 my heart remains. My destination wedding photography and my personal family time brings me back to the island mainly Victoria, Parksville and Tofino each year. This always makes my heart happy.
I love to travel and have travelled extensively, sometimes for destination weddings, other times for personal joy and adding to my travel stock photography. I've been to Europe, Australia, Fiji, Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Hawaii, much of Canada and some of the U.S.
Wanderlust should be my middle name.
We can't express enough how amazing and talented a photographer Suzanne is. She was so easy and fun to work with. She captured all the big important moments we expected. However, it was all the little moments, reactions, and expressions of our family members and friends that she preserved for us, that we as the bride and groom wouldn't have been able to see, making it a truly unique and one of a kind experience. Suzanne gave us, and captured memories of our special day that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
I love being a photographer. Photography is less a job and more of a passion of mine.
My mission with my wedding photography and for my couples is that I capture their essence together and that I create gorgeous, timeless images while I'm with them to bring to life the story of their first day of the rest of their lives as a married couple.
I want to capture the tender moments between the two of you and between your family and friends. I want the tears, the laughter, the details, the look on a father's face while dancing with his daughter and the mother with her son. The love between the Grandparent, aunts and uncles, the little ones dancing and falling asleep at the end of the night.
I'm watching for these moments. They're as important to me as they are to you.
My goal is to move gracefully throughout your wedding day, committed to telling the story of your day. This day is about you and your loved ones. I am there to capture it for you. You may not even realize what I am capturing for you, but you can trust that I am aware of the smallest things.
When things go perfectly or imperfectly, they're the moments that made up your wedding day and they will become more and more special to you as the years go by.
I am a fun loving easy going yet organized person. I want you to enjoy yourselves while we're creating your portraits together and that your family and friends enjoy the experience as well.
You can expect me to be a cheerful. friendly, caring, compassionate photographer who has as attentive creative eye. We'll have a fun time together and you'll receive memories and gorgeous images that you can treasure for years and future generations.
My wedding collections start at $3500 which include your engagement session, day of wedding photographic coverage, a beautiful custom designed Italian wedding album and all of your digital images that have received a special touch.
